Care For Lupus – SDF Indonesia
This Year, Care For Lupus – SDF Indonesia conducts several activities for World Lupus Day 2012, which have started from November 2011 and will finally be peaked at the commemoration of World Lupus Day on May 5, 2012.
The theme for this year is NEVER GIVE UP!
The central Program lies on The Care for Lupus – SDF Awards 2012.
Under this Program, 3 Award Categories will be delivered for : Research Sponsorship, Writing Competition and Lifetime Achievement.
35 Nominees from several universitiesin Indonesia and individual submitted proposals for research sponsorship.
This year in addition to the research sponsorship for herbal supplement, we add one categoty reserach “All About Lupus” to improve quality of life of lupus patients.
We will select 3 winners out 26 propasal for herbal supplement and 2 wineers out of 9 proposal for “All About Lupus “
On the Writing Competition, the committee will also select 3 winners out of 10 articles on the topic of Lupus that have been published on the media. On the Lifetime Achievement category, the committee will select individuals, doctors and institutions who have dedicated his/her/their life to support people with lupus and their families, promote public education and awareness about Lupus and strive for a call to action for government to increase their financial support for lupus research, awareness and patient services.
The other series of activities include Lupus Goes to School and Campus (for Lupus awareness and education), Lupus Road Show for Care for Lupus SDF Awards and Kids Lupus patients Gathering.
The closing of the NEVER GIVE UP - WLD 2012 activities will be a live event on May 5, 2012. The agenda for this event includes: Free medical lupus consultation; Lupus Awareness adn Education Talk show; Art Performance: “Beautiful Indonesia”; Book Launching: “Sunrise Serenade” and “Luppies Diary”; Bazaar and Care for Lupus SDF Awards Presentation.
